Our monthly meetings are held at the Desert Lakes Golf Course 19th hole on the 1st Wednesday of each month @ 1:00 PM... We will be ordering off of the menu until such time as we regularly have 20 or more at the meetings, and then the club will set up a buffet for us....

 

 

May Chatter News

The White Sands (Tularosa) Shrine Club  reviewed the Potentate’s approved parade schedule and it was decided that we would try to take our new bikes to the T or C parade on May 3^rd. Uniforms were discussed and the decision to go with blue vests with a logo on the back, blue jeans and club baseball hats was reached. Noble Walt will order the vests and set up the emblem production. Our first practice was held on Sunday afternoon (Apr 13) with 9 nobles participating (with no fatalities or permanently disabling injuries) in preparation for the T or C parade. A group photo was provided to the Chatter staff.

The picnic lunch and tour of Gran Quevera is definitely set for July 5^th with Noble Charlie Biggs as tour guide – should be a fun and educational day. Noble Sarge brought National Park Service brochures for all to the March meeting with information on the Salinas Pueblo Missions which covers the Gran Quevera site that we will be visiting. They are well worth reading to get a feel for the site history.                       Bud Weidman reporting
