The Los Alamos Shrine Club had its monthly social dinner and yearly installation of officers on Wednesday, February 6.  After a sumptuous dinner supplied by all present and hosted by the new president and his wife, Sheena, the 2008 officers were installed by LeRoy as follows:

 President, Alan Wadlinger;

Past President, Everett Holmes,

Vice President, Larry Holmes;

Secretary Joe Nasise;

Treasurer, Bob Hamblet;

Onion Lord, LeRoy Wampler;

Board Member, Dave Brown and

Director of Libations, John Gunter.

Jewels of Office were presented to each officer by the newly installed president. The Past President was indisposed and will have to wait with patience for a time to receive his jewel. Additional jewels were handed out as directed by the vote of all present.

The Old Shriner jewel was given to Noble Stuart Apgar in recognition of his wisdom, knowledge and the other fine attributes of a mature Shriner.

Larry Holmes received the Young Shriner jewel in recognition of his energy and enthusiasm coupled with the fact that he was the only one present who was younger then the president.

The Ugly Shriner jewel recipient was determined by a secret raffle (money raised for the Motor Patrol) and given to (CENSORED) for unmentionable qualities.

The meeting ended with a toast to Wally and Sue Vigil in honor of their Mediterranean cruise which introduced several nobles to the delightful flavor of Limoncello. Lady Sheena recreated this noble drink for our toast.
