LEGION OF HONOR
The LOH presents the colors at all official Shrine functions, funerals of passed LOH members, and at special non-Shrine functions as requested. We are the Potentate’s honor and color guard and lead in all parades ( no Shrine Unit is permitted to be in front of the Legion of Honor (Imperial Rules). We look forward to leading the Potentate in the nine scheduled parades he approved.
The circus event was a great experience for me as the new commander. I had full participation from the members. They also assisted in separating the tickets at the Circus, so it was a two fold event.
I’m hoping that we can get some younger members in the LOH. We have at least 5 members that were in WW II and it’s always a pleasure sitting with them and listening to their stories.
1. We are the unit of the Shriners’ that promotes patriotism, pride in country, and the display of our national colors.
2. Originally formed for former Armed Forces Veterans.
3. Now, only requires that you be a Noble in good standing.
