Minutes from the Stated Meeting of November 2nd, 2009

 

 

                                                STATED MEETING

                               CHIEF RABBAN NIGHT

                                 November 9, 2009

 

BALLUT ABYAD TEMPLE, AAOMNS, met in regular session on this 9th day of November AD 2009 at 7:30 PM.  It was the regular meeting for November. 

The following officers were present:

Duane Crapser, Assistant Rabban
Joe Shelton, High Priest & Prophet
Richard Almeter, Oriental Guide
Larry Bennett, Treasurer
Ronald E. Page, Recorder
Daryl Wilson, 1st Ceremonial Master
Robert Paixao, 2nd Ceremonial Master
Johnnie Smith, Director
David Romine, Captain of the Guard
Bob Thornton, Outer Guard
Tom Davis, Chaplin
Adam Hathaway, Parliamentarian

The meeting was opened in regular form by Chief Rabban St. John at 7:30 PM and officers moved up one station.  

Noble Tom Davis, Chaplin, gave the invocation and the Pledge of Allegiance was led by Noble “Chips” Hurley.

Acting Potentate St. John introduced the following Past Potentates:

The Acting Potentate welcomed the Past Potentates. 

The Acting Potentate then welcomed new Nobles; Larry Rice and Robert Ramsdell and introduced them to the Nobility. 

The Acting Potentate called for the reading of the minutes of the last meeting. 

A motion was made from the floor to accept the minutes as written.  The motion was seconded and passed. 

The Acting Potentate was then advised there are no petitions and no communications. 

The Acting Potentate requested the reading of the necrology report.  We had five Nobles who rode the black camel.  They were Larry Bowen, Albuquerque; R. Paul Coneway, Hereford, TX; Jack D. Pennington, Albuquerque; Bradford Sinex, Albuquerque; and Melvin A. Woods, Albuquerque.  

The Acting Potentate then instructed that all Nobles stand uncovered while Noble Barney Doyle played appropriate music. 

The Recorder then advised there were seven demits as follows: Robert K. Attaway; Philip T. Bergey; William F. Durkin; Robert O. Jenkins; Donald Karna; Howard E. Mulholland and Doyle D. Pruitt.   

The meeting at this time was taken over by Director Johnnie Smith and the Director’s Staff for festivities, fun and proper orientation of the Chief Rabban (Acting Potentate) Ray St. John. 

The meeting concluded at 8:13 PM.
