May Chatter News

On March 18^th, the Artesia Shrine Club had its first meeting at the Cottonwood Winery with Mexican style pot luck prepared by the ladies. Two guests were present.

At that time, initial planning for the sale of onions was discussed. Ken Dickson was appointed chairman. A committee was formed to find the names of all honored ladies of the Artesia Club.

In memory of Noble John McGee, the Club issued a posthumous life-time membership.

Our April meeting was held on the 15^th, again at the Cottonwood Winery. A pot luck dinner was furnished by the ladies and we were honored by two guests. Plans were finalized for the sale of onions. The black camel came for Noble Al Diedrich and in his memory, the Artesia Club once again issued a posthumous honorary life-time membership.

We have planned our next meeting for May 20^th.
